We are not meddling with kenyan affairs says US Envoy 

The United States of America (USA)and other foreign envoys are not interested in meddling with  Kenyan affairs,US envoy to Kenya Robert Godec has said. Speaking in Kabarnet, Baringo when he paid a courtesy call at the governor, Godec said that they are interested in development matters as partners and not to meddle on the countries

The United States of America (USA)and other foreign envoys are not interested in meddling with  Kenyan affairs,US envoy to Kenya Robert Godec has said.
Speaking in Kabarnet, Baringo when he paid a courtesy call at the governor, Godec said that they are interested in development matters as partners and not to meddle on the countries affairs.

Godec’s sentiments came weeks after National Super Alliance (NASA) warned envoys in Kenya to stop meddling with Kenya affairs.

” We are not meddling with Kenyan affairs but we are partners and we are continuing the work of collaborating with Kenya to address the issues affecting Kenyan people, ” said the ambassador.

He reiterated US government commitment to address various issues touching on war on corruption and also helping in addressing the problems bedevilling the country more so on matters health,insecurity and partnering on development funded by the US.

“The cancer of corruption in Kenya be stopped once and for all so that citizens can get services they pay through taxes they pay,” added Mr.Godec.

He added that the United States has also funded some development initiatives running into billions of shillings in the healthcare system and the agriculture sector.

He further lamented on the security challenge being faced in the country even as he said the united states was doing all it could to ensure normalcy.

Godec decried the runaway corruption in the country saying there is need for the country at both levels of governments to renew the war on corruption and being committed to eradicating it.
The US Envoy is his tour of Baringo and West Pokot counties to inspect projects funded by US government in the counties.
