Principal Secretary Ministry of Health Julius Korir had a rough time on Saturday convincing residents of Chemolingot, Tiaty West to receive relief food he had gone to distribute to hunger victims.

Korir who told the locals that they had been sent by Deputy President William Ruto to access the malaria outbreak and distribute food to hundreds of locals who are facing hunger encountered resistance as the locals declined to receive the food since they were from Dp Ruto.

“Dp Ruto has sent us here to bring you health personnel and nets to tackle the malaria outbreak. He has also sent us foodstuffs to give you,” said Korir amid resistance from hundreds of crowd that had come to receive the food.

The locals developed hatred towards Deputy President whom they are blaming for their woes among them shooting to kill order and the ongoing military operation in the area during the series of attacks early this year.

PS Korir who was forced to use local dialect to convince the locals to respect DP as their leader saying if they will continue disrespecting the DP they will stop the setting up of Kenya Medical Training College  (KMTC) in the region among other promises.

“If you continue showing displeasure towards the Dp then you will at the end loose the promises we have made to boost development in Tiaty,”the Ps warned.

As a show of anger and displeasure towards Jubilee, the community voted overwhelmingly to National Super Alliance (NASA) and elected Kenya African National Union (KANU) legislators in National assembly and County assembly seats.

Even as the 26th presidential elections is edging closer supremacy battles for 2022 presidency between the Dp Ruto and KANU chairman Gideon Moi is slowly coming back .

In Tangulbei during a launch for new Tiaty East sub county Moi and former Tiaty member of Parliament Asman Kamama engaged in war of words after Kamama told Moi that he will campaign for Ruto in 2022 elections.

Angered Moi told Kamama that he will remain in political cold forever as he will do campaigns in funerals and churches.
