Hours after being thrown shades at by the Jubilee leaders during a rally in Baringo County for entertaining opposition alliance cases at the court’s, Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court Justice David Maraga has hit back at the Jubilee Party leaders.

He accused them of directly attacking him. He stated that he won’t take issue with the barbs by the president and his deputy, arguing that the court doesn’t favour any side of the political divide further stating that the Judiciary shall remain independent and shall give all its ruling in line with the Constitution.

Reiterating that no amount of intimidation will derail the Judiciary from conducting its work, Justice Maraga also underlined that the past five years the Judiciary has undergone a crucial transformation that has shaped it.
