With two days remaining for Mass voter registration to end eligible voters who have not registered have been called upon to hurriedly register before the exercise closes. 

Led by Baringo North Parliamentary aspirant Yatich Kangugo appealed to the voters to take advantage of the two days to enlist themselves as voters before Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) calls for the closure of registration on Tuesday. 

“It is my  humble request to those who have not registered as voters to visit the nearest registration exercise and register themselves as voters before Tuesday, “said Kangugo. 

He said so far there is voter apathy in Baringo North since majority of those who have national identity cards have not registered. 

“Only about 4,856 persons have registered which is 33% of the targeted voters.  It is really worrying to note that many have decided not to participate in transforming their lives using the voters card ,”further added Kangugo who is eyeing Baringo North Parliamentary seat on a Jubilee ticket. 

The electoral commission on Friday warned that they are not intending to extend the registration exercise.
