President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned his new cabinet secretaries over non performance in his second term that he has stated will be business unusual .
Speaking moments after swearing in of the 9 cabinet secretaries who included ,Peter Munya ,John Munyes, Ukur Yattani ,Farida Karoney ,Amb Monica Juma ,Margret Kobia Keriako Tobiko, Richard Achesa and Simon chelugui at state house ,the head of state stated that failure to deliver on the big 4 jubilee agenda which include food security,afordable housing manufacturing and afor will amount to a cabinet secretary being sent on packing .
” At any time you fell the weight is too much just say so ,they are other Kenyans ready to do the job .its now business unusual not business as usual high offices are not places for self actualization and pandering of ego .”
The tough speaking president also promised Kenyans of an open , transparent and accountable goverment his sentiment however comes at the back drop of claims of massive corruption that saw the president lay off some of his cabinet secretaries on his first time .“in my second time I have promised we shall receive open , transparent and accountable goverment .” Said president Kenyatta .
Though all said and done ,speculation on the academic qualifications of some of the appointed cabinet secretaries continue to generate varied opinions , the speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has weighed into the debate defending the appointees of the president . speaking to the Media Hon Muturi said that the Constitution hasn’t specified on any qualifications expect of the appointees being a woman or man of sound mind .
