The electioneering period saw lots of musicians jostle for participation in various political rallies of both political divides. Well, it wasn’t different for Marion Chepkorir a young lass who impressed the President during Governor Dr. Joyce Laboso swearing in ceremony.
Marion who did a song praising the governor is however crying foul and accusing the governors’ handlers for not honouring her efforts. Speaking in a local radio station the musician reveals that she used her hard earned coins from her egg selling business to foot the bill for the production of the song – Jubilee Tosha.
Despite Marion having had an opportunity to meet and dance with the president she admits she hasn’t gotten anything substantial for her performance. “I dreamt about Jubilee Tosha song 3 times and I went to the studio to record the song.
“I do sell eggs. when I go on stage to sing I tell God I know I got a talent, that I won’t sleep on. I sang because I loved and voted for jubilee but I haven’t earned anything that makes me happy.” said Marion
