Uasin Gishu Women Representative Jubilee party nominee Gladys Boss Shollei has dismissed civil society groups recommendations that she be blocked from the August polls due to integrity issues.

Addressing the members of press in Eldoret town, Shollei says she has not been convicted of any crimes in a court of law hence nobody can bar her from participating in the general elections.

The National Integrity Alliance on Wednesday listed 20 politicians among them Shollei whom they want Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and the Chapter Six Working Group to bar from vying elective positions in the upcoming general elections due to integrity issues.

Shollei, a former chief registrar of the Judiciary, was recently charged afresh with abuse of office for failing to comply with the law relating to procurement.

A human rights group under integrity alliance had listed over 10 aspirants unfit to hold office for corruptio,intimadation of public servants ,inciting communities among other reasons and want them barred in the August election.

Tiaty mp Asman Kamama and Nandi Hills Mp Alfred Keter are among other legistlators from the Rift valley who the activists named and want them to be barred from vying.
