Alfred Keter has lost his seat following.  nullification by Eldoret High court over poll malpractices.
Justice Kanyi Kimondo said the Nandi Hills constituency August 8 2017 elections were not held in a free and fair environment.

Kimondo said, “evidence presented in court was straight forward, the evidence of five witness was taken in three days,” he said

The August elections, Keter was declared the winner with 23,959 votes against Bernard Kibor Kitur’s (Independent) 13751 and 879 for Isaac Kirwa Lating of ODM.

Keter had asked the court to strike out the petition on grounds it was defective and lacked merit; he also wanted affidavits filed by the petitioner in the case to be expunged from the court records.

Keter becomes the second legislator this week from north rift to lose the seat after Kangogo Bowen’s victory in Marakwet East was overturned by the same court.
