Bruising battle, show of might and political supremacy  is at the tempo as Jubilee alliance party and KANU plan an offensive charm  for Senatorial position in Baringo county .

In one of the hotly contest ahead of August polls ,jubilee party through Simon Chelugui has vowed to give KANU candidate Gideon Moi  a run for his money.

According to political shapers , Baringo ,Bomet and West Pokot counties  have been identified the  backyards to decide the political muscle of the Deputy President and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi  acid test in 2022 presidential race.

Baringo County Senator Gideon Moi and immediate betting control and licensing board chairman Simon Kiprono Chelugui   have been cleared by Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) paving way for a discoloration.

Moi who is  seeking reelection bid  and  decision  to  vie for President in 2022  presented  his nomination papers to IEBC officials on Monday at the Kenya School of Government ,Kabarnet  with Jubilee candidate Simon Chelugui .

Speaking during a colorful occasion marked with pomp and color ,former retired President Daniel Arap s Moi  son at Kabarnet rally held at KANU grounds , urged locals to support his bid for another term .

He criticized his opponent Simon Kiprono Chelugui saying  he is  Deputy President’s  choice  and had no agenda for Baringo people.

Mr. Moi  discredited Deputy President’s effort to tackle insecurity in volatile borders of Baringo  branding it one of myriad of challenges which has haunted jubilee government saying the state has failed to deploy  more security personnel  to contain insecurity.

Jubilee aspirant Simon Chelugui after presenting his nomination papers  at Kabarnet Show grounds   advised locals to vote him overwhelmingly in the coming general election.

He vowed to transform Baringo County  with hearty plans he has  and urged  the electorates to keep off  divisive politics.

‘’ I urge you Baringo residents to give me a chance to take Baringo to the next step .The role of the senator is to push for allocation to county and that Baringo which has not been fully represented deserves equalization fund like other counties which his opponent  failed to address during his tenure ,’’ said the jubilee aspirant.

Mr . Chelugui however lashed on Gideon Moi saying he is an absentee Senator who cannot provide solution to challenges Baringo County is facing.

Heated debate on senate position in Baringo county lights up another battle for Jubilee after NASA coalition pitched camp in Baringo to batter the jubilee party.

NASA principals during Baringo tour noted that Jubilee government has failed to address insecurity in the region.
