The Jubilee party has rolled out the setting up Jubilee County election boards to oversee party primaries slated for undisclosed date next month.
Speaking on Monday during the election of Baringo County’s Jubilee Election Board, Commissioner Samuel Nyangweso said the conclusion of the exercise will usher in the primaries where the the board will steer the picking of party flag bearers.
He lauded Baringo County for conducting peaceful elections saying it has set precedence to other counties.
“I am happy that Baringo county did their elections peacefully this should be replicated in other counties. After concluding this exercise we will sit down as the secretariat and set the date for nominations next month which will be communicated to all aspirants, “said Commissioner Nyangweso.
However, the election was marred with controversies after some aspirants raised concerns over failure of facilitation for attendees despite being a major event for the party.
“The party has failed us for not facilitating the party officials and these are the real issues affecting the party. We the aspirants paid party fees and we should see the party facilitating them, “said Moses Lomeluk an aspirant for Mukutani Ward.
Six members were picked to represented all the subcounties in the county. However three were elected to represent the marginalized.
