As the battle for the Bomet gubernatorial seat continues to heat up, the County Governor Isaac Rutto has broken his silence.
Gov Rutto who was first elected on a United Republican Party (URP) ticket before decamping to his Chama cha Mashinani (CCM) and later joining the National Super Alliance as its fifth principal has revealed that the reason why he parted ways with country’s Deputy President was because he didn’t want to see the governor in leadership after years of rebelling against him.
Speaking in a live TV interview the Bomet County boss added that the presence of Hon Joyce Laboso in the race was to destabilize him politically. “I have no issues at a personal level with Joyce Laboso only that in this area we see her as William Ruto project and William Ruto feels that I should not be in leadership position.”
Both Governor Ruto and the sotik legislator have been on a neck to neck rank on the survey polls conducted by various pollsters, with the estimated margin being of 1%, something that the incumbent Isaac Rutto has trashed severally reiterating that he is confident of nothing but a win toeing the polls as breeders of rigging ground .
