Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery is dead.

The CS’s death was announced late last night with the Chief of Staff Joseph Kinyua breaking the news to the country.

Major General Nkaissery is said to have been rushed to Karen Hospital for medical check-up and later admitted before facing his untimely death. The CS died at the age of 67. “It is with deep sorrow and shock that we announce the sudden passing on of interior CS Rtd. General Joseph Nkaissery.

Gen Nkaissery passed on at Karen Hospital, Nairobi a few hours after being admitted for check-up” read part of the statement from the Chef of staff.
