Are the heydays of the former politicians back? Supremacy duel between former president Moi and Nakuru North MP Willy Komen is brewing with their sons Raymond Moi who is the incumbent MP for Rongai Constituency seeking to retain his seat against the strong waves of Kibet Komen.
With both Candidates drumming support for their bids, often Raymond Moi has come under strong criticism from Komen, who has accused him of not meeting the expectation of the constituents. The duo, today, speaking in a burial at Rongai tore one another with Kibet promising he will provide water to the people if elected, something that he alleges his competitor has failed to do.
“Hiyo mambo ya Maji kutoka huko juu, tuko na shida na watu Wa Maua huku Rongai kuna MTU kule juu amechimba Dam na kupendua Maji, tumejaribu kuingia Kule lakini hatukufaulu mpaka tukatumia ndege na tena amerudia kupendua maji lakini si dawa ni ile ile tutatumia ndege. Mimi naomba namna hii munipe nafasi niwaodoe hawa.”
Though Moi didn’t delve into Kibet’s allegation, the legislator expressed his worries with what he calls decision made from Nairobi concerning the six piece voting pattern warning Jubilee Party of serious consequence if they persist in the calls for such, arguing that the voting decision purely lies on the citizen and thus the mandate should be left to them.
“We won’t accept the six piece call, that decision lies on the citizen and not some individual sitting in Nairobi, we have said yes to Uhuru Kenyatta, so citizens should be left to decide if its Jogoo or independent.
