Bomet Governor has warned the Deputy president William Ruto against dictating the people of Rift Valley on leaders to elect.

Speaking on Thursday during a National Super Alliance (NASA) rally in Barwesa, Baringo County, Isaac Ruto who is also the alliance principal said the electorate in the Rift knows who to vote for not for someone to forces his projects down to our throats saying we are going to elect our own leaders.

“Deputy President has been going round endorsing leaders for us to vote for them but we want to tell him the electorate are the ones to elect leaders they want not for him forces us. We should also reject them,” said Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader.

Deputy President is perceived to have endorsed leaders to vie on various seats in the Rift counties which some were rejected in just concluded Jubilee primaries. Bomet gubernatorial Jubilee nominee Dr. Joyce Laboso,Baringo Senatorial Jubilee nominee Simon Chelugui and Zedekiah Buzeki who was trounced in Uasingishu County gubernatorial race.

While rallying the Rift valley to support NASA, Ruto appealed the locals to reject the all leaders who he termed as projects by the Dp for reasons known to him.

“We don’t want leaders who dictate us who to choose, it is upon the electorate,” further added the governor who is defending his seat on CCM ticket.
