Leaders have congratulated new Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners who were sworn in today to office urging politicians across the political divide to support them as the country gears towards election.
Speaking today in Baringo County , Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa urged Kenyans to support the Wafula Chebukati team in delivering their mandate urging the new commissioners to ensure they deliver credible elections to Kenyans.
“I want to congratulate the new IEBC commissioners in their assumption to office but want to appeal to them to ensure this year’s election is free and fair ,” said Wamalwa.
Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri assured the commissioners of their full support telling off opposition not to politicise the issue again so that the country can have peaceful elections.
“We guarantee Chebukati and his team our support as we prepare to go for elections. All what Kenyan’s need is peaceful elections and the commission should endeavor to deliver peaceful elections, ” said Kiunjuri .
Tiaty Member of Parliament Asman Kamama echoed the sentiments saying Members of parliament will give unwavering support to the electoral body .
