Cabinet  Secretary Defence MS  Rachel Omamo has lauded government effort in realizing the long awaited laptop project.

Speaking on Tuesday during the launch of Digital Literacy Project in Kiboino ,Baringo County ,the Cabinet  Secretary said the laptop project has helped transformed the Kenyan child.

Ms Omamo noted that jubilee government is building a formidable and highly skilled generation geared to taking the country forward.

‘’Kenya is one of the countries in Africa which has embraced Information Communication Technology .The laptop agenda will greatly create a positive impact towards the goals envisaged in vision 2030  ,’’ the CS mentioned.

She said that the country is in dire need of computer savvy youth , saying the bold step by jubilee administration is one way that will make their future dream true.

The Defense CS reiterated that the government is trying much enough to improve the quality of education and it has been appreciated by the government.

‘’ We intend to reach the Digital Literacy Project in all Kenyan school after the identified pilot schools .The government master plan will have achieved it by the end of  jubilee term ,’’ Ms Omamo told Rift News.

ICT Director national government Mr. John Sergon and TSC County Director of Education  Baringo Mr. Alex Cheruiyot said the government milestone project Digital Program has trained and capacity build adequate staff to help in teaching pupils in all Kenyan schools.

The duo added that thelaptop project has been supported by rural electrification which has already been done by government.
