Jubilee leaders from Baringo county have called upon the Coalition of Reforms and Democracy (CORD) to follow the law on their move to disband Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Led by Baringo County Governor Benjamin Cheboi they urged CORD leaders to launch their grievances to relevant institutions.
“Kenya has laws and the one who wants we go against the constitution is wrong. Let’s follow the law and if anyone is not satisfied with the body let him go to court,” said Cheboi.
Tiaty MP Asman Kamama said what opposition leaders are pushing for would likely to lead to treason.
“We would like to tell Raila Odinga that if you want to change commissioners in the electoral body you have to use constitutional means. He must think to the constitution in spirit and latter,” said Kamama.
He wondered why Raila Odinga wants the body be scrapped yet he was in government when the body was being installed.
The leaders were speaking on during the 66th commemorations of Kolowa massacre in Kolowa, Baringo County.
