The second round of the JCB Plant and Equipment rally raid took part in the expansive Baringo County.
The rally raid which was first to be held in rugged terrain of the vast Tiaty sub county saw 24 rally drivers and 15 motorcycles participating in the event.
“It was a rocky and dusty affair set to shred tyres and wreck havoc on the suspensions Of the vehicles,”said Clerk of the Course Mike Borrisow of the Rift Valley Motor and Sports Club .
He further said the competitors were upbeat with the race since they would find the route as challenging and adventurous.
Multiple time Kenya National Rally Champion Carl Tundo navigated by Tim Jessop debuted the much awaited milner R4 raid car where he set the fastest stage times on both days to give Milner its maiden win and scooped maximum driver championship points.
However, the event had some of the rally drivers getting injured. Quad Champion Shazar Anwar sustained minor injuries on his shoulder after his car rolled in the first stage of competition.
The event traversed Pokot with the stunning Paka Hills on the North on day one and Baringo to Solai on day two which also served as final control.
