Director at Kenya School of Government (KSG) Dr. Ludeki Chweya has said Kenya School of Government is partnering with County governments to provide capacity building.
Speaking during the launching ceremony of the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) at Kenya School of Government, Kabarnet, the Director General said the programme gears to facilitate and produce well trained and top notch leaders in earnest to convey public service delivery in their institutions.
He said Private Sector and both National and County Governments should play crucial role in ensuring quality service in their respective institutions .
Strategic Leadership Development Programme has greatly impacted in realization of service delivery impacted through it’s effort to decentralize annually .
‘’ Kenya School of Government is not only promoting and highlighting skills .Our chore duty is to raise the bar in service delivery and thus facilitating a benchmark for participants. ,’’ Dr. Chweya said.
The Director noted that Kenya School of Government remains committed in instilling knowledge and leadership skills which companies direly need for their growth.
He pointed out that alumni benefitting from the SLDP Programme have become effective leaders to be depended upon by the society and corresponding quarters.
Dr. Chweya added that participants who have been trained through the programme have however gone notch higher in securing a long and successful career not only n employment but life in general.
He emphasized that Kenya School government trains over 1,100 participants per day in the country.
The institution’s chief praised KSG for it’s outstanding exemplary performance and innovation that helped to win the Huduma Kenya Awards .
KSG , according to the Director General earned international recognition of excellence in Public Service- United Nations Public Service Award (UNPSA).
Huduma Kenya also won for improving delivery of Public Services.
Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi lauded the institution for incorporating county governments in the SLDP saying it would impact positively in delivering of services to common Mwananchi.
The Governor appreciated them for playing constitutional role as stipulated in schedule 4 of the Kenyan Constitution.
He lashed out at Senators wanting exit of ward and Sub County administrators to vacate offices after end of tenure for Governors.
Governor Cheboi said the move was aimed to propagate graft and a welcome of unpredicted environment which should not allowed to thrive.
