​Baringo nominated Member of County Assembly  Purity Tallam (above) was arraigned in a nakuru court on Friday, February 10, 2017 where she was charged of knowingly allowing another person to take examination on her behalf contrary to examination act, last year.

She was released on court cash bond of Sh10,000. Hearing of the case scheduled on March 23, 2017.

The Mca was arrested on Thursday  for allowing her daughter to sit for 2016 KSCE exams on her behalf.

According to sources, Ms Tallam had enrolled as a private candidate at AIC Njoro Secondary School for the examination and instead of going to sit for the examination alone, she sent her daughter namely Catherine J. Tallam to sit for the examination on her behalf.

The legislator , who was nominated by URP in 2013, is currently held at Njoro Police Station and will be charged for knowingly allowing another person to take the examination on her behalf.

She has been on the run since her daughter was arrested and charged.
