Vihiga County governor Moses Akaranga has said he will not join Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) nor Jubilee Party to defend his gubernatorial seat.
Speaking in Kericho over the weekend, the governor said though there have been calls for him to join the two parties but declined opting to defend his seat using Progressive Party of Kenya (PPK) .
“I will not join ODM neither will I join Jubilee to defend my seat though there have been calls for me to join the parties. I will instead use the same party I used 2013,” said Akaranga.

Akaranga further said party will not guarantee any one to clinch power but what someone has done to his or her own electorate.
“My development track record speaks for itself and am certain sure that the people of Vihiga will retain me as their governor because I have delivered what I had promised them when I was campaigning, “added Akaranga.
