The aspirants told Rift News that Baringo Central for a decade has failed to progress development wise at helm of the incumbent Member of Parliament.
All have rolled their sleeves up despite claims that the local Mp has secured party ticket ahead of nominations scheduled for early next year.
David Kerich a Nairobi based lawyer together with colleague aspirants during a fundraiser over the weekend said Baringo Central locals have been abandoned and left a desperate lot for years .
He said the constituency is in dire need of a vibrant leader who can champion development for the people .
Mr. Kerich , the current Mp’s close neighbor who has intensified his campaigns said he has all what to takes to deliver the people.
He has been seen traversing all places of the constituency urging people to drum his support.
Although the aspirant has the goodwill of the people , the locals are still worried that jubilee party may favor the current Mp Sammy Mwaita for his forgiving support to Deputy President William Ruto.
Joshua Kandie, another aspirant ,for the seat five years later after loosing the seat in 2013 elections marred with irregularities still beliefs to clinch the position.
His charity to the community has raised his hopes to vie for the hotly contested seat of Baringo Central.
Mr. Kandie undoubted record to give back to the society is evident on big boost to health sector ,building of schools and donation of fire fighters from shwenk , a German sponsor .
Area legistlature Sammy Mwaita has not lost a war to defend his seat and has welcomed all the aspirants to ‘’give it a try’’.
He attitudes the influence of voting to party factor which has ever renewed his chances to win hotly contested seat.
Mr . Mwaita so far has not woken up to the shock of the century of loosing the seat but maintains that he will win the elections in 2017.
During the fundraiser in Kituro in aid of former mayor John Kiprono KANU Secretary General Nick Salat urged the aspirants for Mp seat to shift to KANU over suspicion that the Mp has already secured himself a jubilee party ticket.
Mwaita told off his competitors to prepare for the race saying the allegations are cheap propaganda which are spread by the same competitors who have already panicked.
