Tiaty Member of Parliament has drummed up support for Betting Controls and Licensing board chair Simion Chelugui’s bid for Baringo County Senate. 

Speaking on Friday in Chesakam, Tiaty sub county, Asman Kamama while urging the locals to vote for a Jubilee in the general elections to be held later this year appealed to the locals to vote for Betting boss who was endorsed by Deputy President William Ruto to vie for senate seat. 

“Jubilee government has supported us so we should vote for all Jubilee party candidates including Chelugui, ” said Kamama. 

Chelugui shelved vying for gubernatorial seat to vie for senate seat after a meeting held at DP Ruto’s Sugoi home where he was picked to be Jubilee party flag bearer in senatorial seat. 

Kamama has become the first member of parliament from the county to support publicly Chelugui’s senate candidature.

Kamama also urged locals to register in large numbers in the ongoing mass voter registration. 

“Most eligible voters have not registered as voters so I request them to go and register so that they may be locked out in the exercise, ” said Kamama.
