Kenya African National Union (KANU) Party has called on their supporters in Baringo and West Pokot counties to have unwavering support to the party following JAP forceful penetration to the counties.

Speaking on Saturday in Chemolingot, Baringo County during a thanksgiving prayers for Baringo County Assembly Speaker William Kamket and other two MCAs who were acquitted their criminal cases, Gideon Moi urged their supporters to remain solidly in KANU saying JAP party is a 2022 project for Deputy President William Ruto.

The sentiments is seen as the revival Moi-Ruto rivalry after lull in the Rift in supremacy battle by the duo after Kericho by elections. Even as the Baringo Senator saying DP Ruto’s clamour for state house in 2022 is only by grace reiterating that KANU will push for development for Kenyans now .

“”I want to urge the people of Baringo and Rift Valley to remain in KANU. JAP is all about 2022 and it’s only god’s grace. We don’t want to be told to wait till 2022 at the expense of Wanainchi .We want development now ,” said Moi.

Also speaking in the function was West Pokot senator Prof John Lonyangapuo who termed JAP as ‘goons’ said KANU is still strong in the region.

“We are in Jubilee coalition not JAP. JAP is another problem. I want to urge our supporters not to be hoodwinked by them (JAP), “said the West Pokot Senator.

Nominated Senator Ziporrah Kitony urged for their supporters to be united.

The County Assembly assembly was also endorsed as a KANU candidate for Tiaty Parliamentary seat 2017.
