Baringo Central Member of Parliament aspirant David Kiplagat alias Kerich has strongly denounced claims that he is a project of incumbent area Member of Parliament Sammy Mwaita. 

Speaking today in Kisok secondary school during school’s fundraiser, Kerich said that word has been going round that he was a political project of Mwaita in his clamour to become member of parliament of the constituency saying he was not a project of anyone. 
“I want to public in broad daylight term the allegations as baseless with intent to water down my candidature . I am not anybody’s project and I am in the race till the end, ” said the Nairobi Lawyer .

Mwaita who was also present in the function said the claims were just allegations. 
Kerich also said it is up to the electorate to choose who fits the seat adding that it was high time for Mwaita to drop his bid for the seat since he has already served for two political terms. 
The crowd was treated to a dose of laughter when he jocularly referred the two terms to a mother breasts saying that “even a mother has two breast and once the baby has suckled the two, it gets satisfied because there is no third one”
Kerich has been criss crossing the constituency popularising his bid for the seat and he is seen to be a strong competitor to Mwaita.
