Political heat is expected to rise in Baringo today as rival parties KANU and Jubilee hold separate fundraising in the region.
KANU led by it’s Chairman Gideon Moi will hold a fundraiser in Kabarnet for youth groups while Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen Will participate in a fundraiser to assist women groups in Marigat, Baringo South.
Murkomen’s visit with legislators from Baringo comes barely a week after KANU supported women groups in the area.
This is also seen as politician’s rush to beat the deadline of closure of Harambees by Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) that will end December 8.
Sources privy to Rift News revealed that KANU had to reschedule their harambee to today to meet the electoral body regulations.
