” I wonder what’s in the heads of some leaders who think there is no constitution that govern the country. It is unconstitutional for anyone to say he is the president, such leaders should be assisted to read the constitution to understand, ” said Cheboi .

Nairobi Lawyer David Kiplagat scoffed at senator’s remarks saying if it was another country the senator could be behind bars urging leaders to respect institutions.
“As a lawyer, there is no vacuum for anyone to say he is the acting president . It is wrong and it could lead to treason. Everyone should respect institutions that are guarded by the constitution, ” said Kerich.
The leaders were speaking in Kisok secondary school on Saturday during the school’s fundraiser in aid to construct a girl’s dormitory.
The Director of Public Prosecutions has asked the inspector -General of police Joseph Boinnet to investigate Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko for declaring himself the acting president.
