Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has warned Deputy president William Ruto against threatening and insulting him whenever he visits his own county.

The Bomet governor who urged the deputy president to go slow and respect other leaders with divergent opinions if he wants  presidential seat in come 2022.
Rutto said that he cannot be threatened by the deputy president saying he will remain firm in his own party, Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) which is it is his democratic right and ready to deal with him politically.

He said that churches have been turned into political battle grounds calling on the clergy to keep their sanctuaries holy.
In his visit to Bomet County on Sunday where he attended two church fundraisers at Mogogosiek and Ndarawetta, the deputy president called on the residents to vote out governor Ruto fronting for National Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr. Joyce Laboso and National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation chairman Julius Kones for gubernatorial seat.
The deputy president also accused Rutto for frustrating the construction of Bomet University in Bomet town.
Rutto said that the county government had donated 110 acres for building the university but the national government wants to built in a dump site being used by the county.
He also accused the national government over medical equipments saying that they are paying 95 million every year for the lease yet it has not worked till now. He said the leasing company should be made public.
