President Kenyatta Could Skip Presidential Debate

With only 5 days to the much awaited Presidential debate organized by the media, President Uhuru Kenyatta has opted out. The head of state first participated in a similar one debate before 2013 general elections.

Speaking to the media today Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe stated that the president’s withdrawal was motivated by failure of the event organizers to consult president Uhuru led Jubilee Party officials.

President Uhuru will however not be first head of state to boycott the biggest face-off as his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni also snubbed during last year’s Uganda Presidential Debate.

NASA presidential hopeful, Raila Odinga also announced that he will also skip the debate. NASA presidential campaign secretariat said Raila Odinga will not take part in the under the proposed format and stipulation.
